Hip Reconstruction

A hemiarthroplasty is a surgical procedure that involves replacing half of the hip joint, that is, replacing the femoral head. A hemiarthroplasty is generally used to treat a subcapital fracture of the femur.

Hip revision surgery is performed to repair an artificial hip joint that has been damaged over time due to an infection, or due to normal wear of the prosthetic implants.
